Mock exams

Mock exams

We have mock exams for Cambridge Preliminary, First, Advanced and Proficiency 3 times a year. These exams normally take place one or two weeks before our students do the official Cambridge exams.

These exams take place on a Saturday in our academy under exam conditions. We use the same timescales and conditions as the official exams. This gives students great practice and means that when they do the official exam, they are as prepared as possible.

We have a correcting team, supervised by our Academic Manager,  working on the day of the exam. We correct all the papers that day and you can collect your results the following Monday morning from 0930.

We present your results in graphical format. We also give you all your papers back for you to review.

Our analysis of our mock tells us that students who do our mock and the official exam the following week get a very similar result. Of course, this can vary from student to student, but the average difference between the two exams is plus or minus 3 per cent. Students often tell us that the biggest advantage of doing our mock is understanding the pressure of managing their time for the different questions.

Although the vast majority of students who do the mock are currently studying at Native English, anyone can do it.

The next mock at Native English take place on Saturday, June 1st 2024. Places are limited to 60 First Certificate students, 25 for Advanced and 25 for Preliminary, so get in touch with us if you are interested in doing this exam.
